WHAT GETS US UP (MOST) MORNINGS.
Our mission for La Vie™ ? To make people switch from animal to vegetable fat with a smile and some delicious finger licking fat. That’s why we’ve rustled up some veggie based meat alternatives that are better for your health, the planet and animals without compromising on taste. It’s for people who love the taste of meat and prefer the taste of life.
THE PROBLEM.
Historically, we never asked too many questions about intensive farming in our quest for cheap protein. And then it grew and grew to the point where it is today:
- 14.5% of total CO2 emissions, more than the transport sector.
- 27% of land use, equivalent in size to the entire American Continent.
- 77 billion animals cut to pieces in 2021.
So now that we know about this, we need to move on and find plant based meats – we call that progress.
(ONE OF) THE SOLUTIONS.
Let’s not kid ourselves, the best solution is to eat locally sourced fruit and veg. However, that’s a tad ambitious.
Our plant based solution, which is by no means unique, is using animal feed ingredients rather than the creature itself.
Basically, if you want to boil it down to a drawing, look at this:
BETTER FOR YOU.
Let’s be honest we should all be on a broccoli diet. That said when we compare our veggie meat we are proud as punch. For exemple, for our vegetable lardons:
- Rich in protein
- 7 ingredients only
- 7 to 8 times less saturated fat
- Source of fibre
- No nitrites or nitrates
BETTER
FOR THE PLANET.
By taking animals out of the equation you save a heck of a lot of CO2, water, land use, lives….
- 88% less CO2
- 82% less water
- 74% less land use*
- 200% more love

BETTER
FOR THE ANIMALS
Killing animals isn’t the only way of producing meat and certainly not the best. For instance, to produce one kilo of meat you need 9.4 kilos of feed. Also, in blind tastings our veggie bacon hits the spot with 92% of tasters compared to the real thing. So, jump on the La Vie™ train, it’s going to be a hell of a ride!
