La Vie™ Vegan Tarte Flambée (ooh la la)
Difficulty:
Time:
30minPortions:
2 balls of vegan pizza dough, rolled out thin (or make it yourself if you want to show off)
150 g La Vie™ smoked lardons
1 red onion
100 ml white wine
200 g plant-based crème fraîche or plant-based double cream
500 ml plant-based single cream
2 tbs sunflower oil
Nutmeg
Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 210 °C.
Place the rolled-out dough onto oven trays.
Step 2:
Finely dice the onion and fry them off for a minute in a pan over medium heat with a tablespoon of oil. You don't want to let them brown. Add the white wine then cover for 2 minutes.
Step 3:
In another pan, nice and hot this time, lightly fry the La VieTM lardons for a few minutes with a tablespoon of sunflower oil. They should only just start to brown, as they'll finish cooking in the oven.
Step 4:
Mix together the crème fraîche (or double cream) and the single cream. Add a pinch of grated nutmeg, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
Divide and spread this mixture across the two tarte bases. Then, add the onions and lardons.
Step 5:
Pop in the oven for around 8-10 minutes - the dough edges should start to turn a lovely golden brown.
Step 6:
Die-hard foodies will roll it up before tucking in!
