Vegan Pizza with La Vie™ lardons
Difficulty:
Time:
60minPortions:
Vegan pizza dough (homemade, for clever little piggies)
150 g La Vie™ lardons
150 g vegan mozzarella
1 tin of peeled tomatoes
A few leaves of basil
Olive oil
Extra bacon for hardcore foodies
Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 220 °C. All you need is one rack in the middle.
Step 2:
Fry off the La VieTM lardons in a hot pan with a little oil, until they start to brown. They shouldn't be completely crisped, or else they may burn in the oven.
Step 3:
Drain the tomatoes and roughly blitz them. If you don't have a mixer, just mash them up with a fork. Add a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of olive oil.
Step 4:
Roll out the pizza dough then add a ladle of tomato sauce and spread it around (use the back of the ladle for that pro-pizza chef style).
Next, add the vegan mozzarella and lardons, finishing with a dash of olive oil.
Step 5:
Put the pizza in the middle of the oven and leave to cook for around 10 minutes, or until the crust of the dough starts to go golden brown.
Step 6:
Once out of the oven, add a few basil leaves, then enjoy!
